Hey! I'm Sid, a designer and freelancer based in Vancouver, Canada. I'm currently working as a Sr. Product Designer at Xero.
I'm also an amateur powerlifter and spend a fair bit of time at the gym. In between all of that, I enjoy brewing coffee in all sorts of ways–current favourite is the Kalita wave, trying out new foods and just spending time with my partner and two dogs.
At Xero, I work across multiple teams building beautiful tax product experiences for our accountants and bookkeepers. These projects include platform modernisation of the fixed asset product, scaling the capabilities of tax mapper, increasing adoption of the 1099 product in the US and bringing a brand new product to our emerging market of Singapore.

Before Xero, I spent just over 2 years at Jarden, working on many design pieces as part of a small in house design team but primarily focused on building a new client management system for their team of financial advisers and redesigning sign up experience that involved building out a dual theme design system.
Before Jarden, I contracted as a designer at ANZ's employee experience division as their first designer, redesigning the internal employee tech support platform.
I also really enjoy interacting with designers and design communities. I set up New Zealand's first Friends of Figma chapter in Wellington in 2022 and have been mentoring designers via ADPlist since 2021.
